Naberezhnye Chelny is one of the largest settlements in Tatarstan. The first association that arises when it is mentioned is the KamAZ plant. Boulevard of Enthusiasts
The main decoration of this walking area is fountains and sculptures. The author of unusual figures is Ildar Khanov. One of the youngest theaters in Tatarstan opened its doors to spectators in the 90s of the last century. For several years the troupe rented part of the premises of the Energetik House of Culture. Having received the status of a state theater, the theater moved to a spacious building, which it occupies to this day. Holy Ascension Cathedral
A stone church on this site was built in 1872. Previously, there was a man's monastery, which was not rebuilt after the ruin. The temple was open to believers until the 30s of the last century. Then the building was adapted for a mill. In the 80s it was returned to the Russian Orthodox Church, and the village of Borovetskoye, where the cathedral is located, became the outskirts of the city. Temple of Seraphim of Sarov
Built by 2006 on the banks of the Kama, in the place where the church of the Prophet Elijah stood in the past. The work was carried out for 10 years. The church has an unusual and very beautiful iconostasis. Its main icon - the image of Seraphim of Sarov - is a gift from the patriarch. Nearby, flowerbeds and flower beds were laid out, and a gate chapel was erected. The area around is surrounded by a wrought-iron fence with patterned gates.
Temple of Cosmas and Damian
Built in 1859 in the village of Orlovka, which is currently part of Naberezhnye Chelny. The temple was closed from the 30s to the 90s. During its restoration, it was decided to create a complex of buildings. In addition to the church, it included: a bell tower, a chapel, pavilions and a fence with a gate. The architectural style is Russian-Byzantine. Nearby are the Church of Andrei Rublev and the House of Orthodox Books.
Tauba Mosque
The opening of the mosque was timed to celebrate the 1100th anniversary of the adoption of Islam by the Volga Bulgaria in 1992. Interior decoration - marble and carved ornament. The only minaret rises 53 meters. There is a gilded crescent on top of it, on which lines from the Koran are written. The external appearance of the mosque combines the traditions of Tatarstan and the modern trends of the Islamic architecture of the East.
Nur-Ikhlas mosque
Located near the "Coastal" park. It was built in the 90s and is the largest mosque in the city. The building is spacious inside, each hall and corridor is decorated in a special style. "Motherland"

Ildar Khanov became the author of the project. The height of his creation is about 15 m. The dimensions made it possible to write on the memorial wall the names of seven thousand heroes who died defending their homeland. During its existence, "Motherland" has never been restored.
Memorial complex to them. Musa Jalil
In 1985, the opening of the complex was timed to coincide with the 40th victory in the Great Patriotic War. Musa Jalil, a native of Tatar peasants, became famous for his collection of poems "Moabit Notebook". He wrote most of his works while in captivity by the Nazis. For valor and endurance, the poet was awarded the title of Hero of the USSR. Musa was executed in 1944 and became a symbol of courage for his fellow countrymen.
Monument to Vladimir Vysotsky
Installed closer to the outskirts of the city in 2003. The composition consists of a stylized scene, a broken guitar, a bell and beams in the form of strings. The author of the project is the local sculptor V. Nesterenko. The reason for the creation of the monument was the story of Vysotsky's visit to Naberezhnye Chelny in the 70s as part of the Taganka Theater tour. The hotel where the artists stayed was also named after Vladimir Semyonovich.
Monument to Gabdulla Tukay
The opening ceremony in the presence of officials took place in 2011. The event was part of an extensive celebration of the poet's 125th birthday. A full-fledged installation is behind the figure of Gabdulla Tukai. The authors did not want to leave the writer alone, so they surrounded him with the heroes of the works. The monument stands in a beautiful park with flower beds and a walking area.
Monument "Glory to the builders of KamAZ!"
Installed on a man-made embankment in front of the industrial site of the Kama complex of plants in 1981. It was created by members of the Red Banner brigade. The monument is dedicated to the release of the second stage of KamAZ. The scraper and the bulldozer, as well as the hill, is a simple composition but full of meaning. It symbolizes the labor of workers, who had to "shovel" a lot of land before anyone would appreciate their efforts.
Business center "2.18"
One of the most notable buildings in the city. People called it "skullcap" because of the shape of the upper floors and the roof.Height - 81 meters, number of floors - 24. Design and construction started back in Soviet times. Financial turmoil and Perestroika led to a project freeze. Thanks to foreign investors, work resumed already in our century, and in 2005 the business center was commissioned.
Naberezhnye Chelny Dolphinarium
The only dolphinarium in Tatarstan opened in 2006. The building was not built on purpose, but the existing one was reequipped. The auditorium can accommodate 350 spectators. The water show involves not only dolphins, but also a sea lioness. Shows are held almost every day. Additional programs include swimming with the dolphins in the pool or riding the kids in a miniature boat in their surroundings.
Victory Park
It was broken up in 1975, and for a long time only the amusement area was popular with the townspeople. Not so long ago, the park was reconstructed, making the green island more well-groomed. In 2016, a new Ferris wheel was installed. Three stages host at least 60 events throughout the year. There are tents with food and souvenirs. On the territory of the park there is the Alley of Home Front Workers. Military equipment of the past is displayed nearby.
Park "Coastal"
A popular holiday destination. There are a variety of activities for tourists and locals alike. Chess lovers can play with figures of impressive size. There is a modern multi-kilometer bike path. In winter, ski trails are laid across the park. On the slope of the hill there are large letters - the name of the city in the Tatar language. The park hosts concerts and major events.
Kama river and Nizhnekamskoe reservoir
One of the largest tributaries of the Volga, the Kama, flows in several regions of Russia and has a total length of more than 1800 km. It is navigable at about half its length. The Nizhnekamsk reservoir appeared on the river in 1979. It has become the main natural attraction of Naberezhnye Chelny. Children's and sports grounds are built on the shore, there are places for picnic and fishing, a motor ship runs.
